I was excited to hear Aquarius Heaven was coming to play in London this month, this Sunday at Half Baked Summer Closing Party, as I’ve been playing his music on repeat!
I discovered Aquarius Heaven last year with “Universe” and “Summer love” and had his trippy podcasts on repeat while I was travelling, and just fell in love with the cool, sexy, dark and moody vibes of his music.

Brian Brewster, was a reggae, dance hall and hip hop singer and met doP in Paris in 2005. A few jam sessions later, Aquarius Heaven was born…

Who is Aquarius Heaven?

He’s a sexy tale on a sexy beat in the right state of time.

You’re from Houston, Texas, how was the music scene there and how did you get into it?

Before leaving the states I had no connection to electronic music, it was down hip hop for me.

But as soon as I hit Europe, the carribbean dancehall and reggae in me grooved in. Now house just found its place with me with a lil’ help from UNCLES ;)

What/who are your influences?

Everyday life is really a big part of it. Then, I listen to as much music as I can and

sure there are some I love more and some less…

But I love it all!

You moved from Paris to live in Berlin. Why?

I did and would do it again if I had to … Berlin is the place to be right now and we sure can say it’s kind of the hometown of electronic music! So much happening here! Right now!

Do you mostly work by yourself or do you look for collaborations?

I do quite a bit by myself but I’m always down to tag and jam in a music session. I don’t have a set time or a place.

You’re the vocals on kisses, the new doP track, one of my favourite on repeat songs today! How was it working on the track?

We meet… we chill… we jam… and it’s out … That’s what the family is about…

You’re playing in London on the 23rd September at Half Baked. For those of us that have never seen you perform live, can you tell us what to expect?

Expectations lead to disappointment. Just come and enjoy the ride, just like in the old days, when music used to just play and people used to just dance.

Got a lot of unfinished tracks and getting all this sorted. I also have a few remixes here and there coming up.
